About Dominique Amendola

Dominique Amendola "Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France. She took courses that taught her traditional fine art skills, including an in-depth study of the masters: Vermeer, Monet, Renoir, Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci, and others. Many of Ms. Amendola's works can be found in corporations and private collections around the globe, including France, Mexico, India, Switzerland, and the United States and in dozens of publications with the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, including Bhagavad Gita As It Is, the Srimad Bhagavatam, and more recently with Gosai publishers, in the Upanishads and Mandala Media, Krishna Art and the illustrations for the children s book Master of all Mystics. "My love of the Indian culture and religion led me to live on two separate occasions in South India where I completed dozens of paintings based on Indian street scenes and artworks inspired by the ancient Vedic literature. My art is deeply influenced by my world travels and by my own spiritual practice in the Vaishnava tradition called Sanatana Dharma. I applied what I learned in my schools in Paris to my world of oil painting, including my Sacred Art of India found in my Hindu Gods and Goddesses collection, in dozens of publications with the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, including Bhagavad Gita As It Is, the Srimad Bhagavatam, and more recently with Gosai publishers, in the Upanishads and Mandala Media, Krishna Art and the illustrations for the children's book Master of all Mystics and Surf magazine Club of the Waves and online magazine Women of Art."
