Original oil painting of a street scene in an old village in Provence, north of Nice. Aspremont is a picturesque perched village with houses tightly circled around the hill in concentric circles, and even the gardens and orchards are ringed around the lower part of the hill in circular terraces. This particular view is from the medieval village: Villevieille.

Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France.
