This is an illustration commissioned for a book called the Brahma-Samhita, an ancient text of Vedic origins. Brahma, the creator of the universe born from the navel of Lord Visnu is sitting on a lotus flower. In the ancient text from the Vedas, it is described that Brahma, the creator of the universe, is the first living entity born from the navel of Lord Vishnu. This painting shows Krishna, the Supreme Person, communicating Vedic knowledge to that same Brahma via transcendental flute sound.

About Dominique Amendola
"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France. She took courses that taught her traditional fine art skills, including an in-depth study of the masters:...
