Artist's Description
A bicycle rider is taking a relaxing ride among fields of poppies. The location is France, (Remember Monet's paintings with lots of poppies in them). The bright red of the flowers contrasts nicely with the green grass. The horizon seems unlimited, the bicycle rider could be anyone, and the sky is lifting clouds out of the horizon. The details are very great so even a large print will show them. This is quite a created piece, with different elements and a lot of texture.
Digital painting does not mean applying some filters on some photos. It means painting on the computer rather than on canvas_yes, stroke by stroke, and really very similar to painting on canvas, except it is all virtual...

"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France.
