Artist's Description
This painting represents a typical city street scene in Bangalore, India. Notice the light permeating everything and the colorful dresses, rickshaws, and trucks. This is the second version I painted for this scene. This was commissioned by a gentleman who prefers realism to impressionism. The first one is a bit more impressionistic and displays the use of a palette knife technique in some parts.

"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France.
