Ladies in India can be very graceful, with their gestures light as a bird, the way they smile and stand.
In this painting, some ladies choose flowers at the market, while a young man in the front is fetching one of the garlands. This is a traditional colorful marketplace from a different culture.
This Oil painting is executed on canvas in a soft impressionist style. I took care of painting delicate tones, especially for the skin color. Lots of flower garlands are hanging from the ceiling, and many ladies are occupied helping two girls, while a young shop attendant is bringing one garland down.

"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France. She took courses that taught her traditional fine art skills, including an in-depth study of the masters:...
