Portrait of Mother Teresa holding a child. Teresa of Calcutta, now recognized as a saint, in her sari uniform is holding an Indian child. She has this complex expression on her face which seems mixed with compassion and reproach. Holding the child tightly, protecting her from this unfeeling world, where the suffering of the innocent goes often unnoticed.
Mother Teresa was the founder of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation of women dedicated to helping the poor. In this portrait painting, she is holding a baby, trying to save her life, mother of adoption, acting like a saint.

About Dominique Amendola
"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France.
