A young girl wearing a rich golden sari is sitting in a palace courtyard in Jayapura with a sitar. She is sitting in the beautiful architecture of her private yard. The style is realism. The same style was actually painted by the Orientalists.
This is an oil painting on canvas. This piece was commissioned from me by a gallery in India.
This painting came 5th in the Contest - Women Painter of the Month - JANUARY 2018, with 20 votes.
This painting won first place in the WOMEN PAINTING WOMEN contest on May 1, 2020, and won a feature on the group homepage of Women Painters - Hand paintings only Group.

About Dominique Amendola
"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France.
