This is from an acrylic painting on canvas.
This surfer is now riding The Great Wave off Kanagawa! In the background please notice mont Fuji. This is inspired by a famous woodblock printing by the Japanese artist Hokusai that I modified for our surfing purposes.
This was commissioned by the First Surfing Federation of India.

About Dominique Amendola
"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Then she studied for 4 years at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs De Paris, France. She took courses that taught her traditional fine art skills, including an in-depth study of the masters:...
