Artist's Description
This original painting can be purchased by contacting the artist.
This canvas was painted in Provence, in one of those small villages, in a courtyard called "La Treille". La Treille became famous as the place where writer Marcel Pagnol spent his summer holidays during his childhood at the Bastide Neuve, where he is buried in the cemetery there. It is a very romantic place full of old stones and flowers. In this painting, two rose bushes have climbed towards each other, forming a sort of arch. The style is impressionism, the colors are soothing.

About Dominique Amendola
"Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of spiritual paintings into people's lives through my artwork." Dominique Amendola was born in Paris, France. She spent most of her life living in the United States, and India. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1985. She expressed her first serious interest in art when she was four years old. When she was 17 years old, she studied for 2 years at Atelier Beaudry, in Paris France. Laurel Adams
Dominique, this is SO beautiful! It reminds me of the many wooden trellises my pépère made for my mémère with climbing roses of white, light pink, and blood red. He also had sweet pea and clematis. He was a Master carpenter and Master machinist by trade a gardener and artist by hobby and he never wasted ANYthing...turning scraps into Beauty. You have captured this inherent French “ sensibility” for reclaiming and venerating the wounds of antiquity with Nature, sculpture, pottery. So MAGNIFICENT! Love, love, LOVE this!...L/F
Dominique Amendola replied:
Thank you, Laurel, your comment is wonderful!
